Before choosing the next business, they measured the sidewalk first
A wireless measurement kit on the sidewalk in front of a station-front franchise store turned foot traffic and demographics into evidence for the client's next-business decision.

They sensed it was a good location — but had no numbers to back it up
Toko Sekiyu operates a rent-a-car franchise location in front of a railway station in Ichihara, Chiba. The team could feel the potential of the station-front spot, but had no data on how many people actually pass the store, when they pass, or who they are. As the company explored diversifying into a new business at the same location, it needed a way to evaluate the site with measurements rather than intuition.
A wireless kit covering the entire storefront sidewalk, installed in half a day
SpaceVision installed a Site Analysis wireless measurement kit positioned so the entire sidewalk in front of the store falls within view. The camera was clamp-mounted to the facade and connected to the store's network, with measurement running within half a day. Every frame is processed and discarded in the on-site edge analyzer — only aggregate numbers reach the console, and no passer-by is ever identified.
A location judged by feel became hour-by-hour data
The sidewalk in front of the store began accumulating as hour-by-hour data. More than 3,200 people pass the store on an average day, weekday traffic peaks around 6 PM, and people aged 10–29 account for roughly a third of all traffic. The hypothesis that student traffic is strong was confirmed by measurement, and the review of youth-oriented business formats now proceeds on data. When the measurement ends, the kit can be collected and redeployed to compare other candidate sites on the same basis.
Measured traffic data became the starting point for the next-format review
Site decisions
Around-the-clock measured traffic replaces a handful of site visits.
Format review
Age and gender profiles narrow down which business fits the spot.
A repeatable basis
The same measurement can be repeated at other candidate sites.
